We Support: Pancreatic Cancer UK
Pancreatic Cancer UK is the only national charity fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts: Support, Information, Campaigning and Research. Following their Study for Survival in 2011, Pancreatic Cancer UK launched the Campaign for Hope which sets out two ambitious goals: - To double five-year pancreatic cancer survival rates - To change the NHS experience of pancreatic cancer patients from being one of the worst to one of the best They run the UK's only pancreatic cancer-dedicated Support Line, staffed by their expert specialist nurses and provide comprehensive and detailed information about the disease, which meets The Information Standard. They fund innovative research that makes the most impact and aids the development of new research talent in the field of pancreatic cancer. They campaign to increase awareness of the disease, and bring about change for pancreatic cancer patients, by working closely with patients, families, carers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, politicians and policy makers. They are supported by three Boards that offer medical, scientific and business expertise to our charity.
